Eco Friendly Polar Expedition Cruises
on the new M/S Expedition

G.A.P Adventures, a world leader in adventure travel, has just purchased their new ship, the M/S Expedition. Starting January 4, 2009 G.A.P will relaunch its polar expeditions. The M/S Expedition was built in 1972 in Denmark, the ship has operated in coastal waters around Scandinavia for 15 years; and can accommodate 120 passengers. It is undergoing a multi-million dollar refurbishment and refit to offer travelers a unique and comfortable way to explore the Polar Regions.
Guests have the choice of five categories of cabins ranging from triples to suites. Each cabin will be outside featuring either portholes or windows and the ship will have multiple viewing areas, including a 360-degree observation deck for wildlife viewing.
An elite team of 10 expedition staff, consisting of expedition leaders, naturalists, historians, geologists and marine and avian biologists, will accompany every cruise in order to share their knowledge of the destination’s history, unique environment and wildlife.
